  • Los Angeles Jewish Home Accepts New Resident Applications

    The Los Angeles Jewish Home announced it is accepting applications for new residents, as well as participants in its community-based programs, after an extended pause in admissions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The reopening coincides with the one-year anniversary of the nationwide shutdown resulting from the coronavirus.
  • Taking Care of Seniors - One Car at a Time

    At the above time and place, participants of the Los Angeles Jewish Home will drive or be driven up to the front of the facility where they will be greeted by festive signage, balloons, and staff thanking them for visiting the Brandman Centers for Senior Care to receive their annual flu shot. Some will arrive in personal vehicles while Brandman Center busses will also be utilized.
  • Non‐Profit, Non‐Denominational Los Angeles Jewish Home Plans Rapid Expansion to Serve 10,000 Seniors Throughout Los Angeles County by 2025

    The Los Angeles Jewish Home (LAJH), one of the nation’s largest, single‐source providers of comprehensive senior care, plans rapid expansion of services throughout Los Angeles County with a goal of serving 10,000 seniors by 2025. LAJH, which has previously offered services primarily in the San Fernando Valley, provides healthcare and living options; community‐based programs; in‐resident services; professional training; and research on frequently overlooked issues that affect senior healthcare and living. Leading LAJH’s expansion will be newly appointed CEO and President Dale Surowitz, who has served as CEO of Providence Cedars‐Sinai Tarzana Medical Center since 1997. Dale brings broad‐based relationships and expertise in furthering partnerships with external healthcare providers.
